My first at Oil painting... and canvas painting at large and Never been to art school...
It's a painting of my good friends Vivek & Libby. Vivek's into Vampires and Libby fancies pixies and fairies and has a tattoo of a pixie holding a ruby on her back. Its also a first rendition of love between two such mythical creatures. Forbidden and Mystical 'A creature of the night kissing the glimmer of a Shiny day'. It's titled 'VoL' - which is 'LoV' backwards and coincidentally their initials too.
Its their wedding gift.

This Oil painting is a housewarming gift to my brother-in-law and my lovely elder sister. The painting is dedicated to my brother in law, who is extremely talented with the electric guitar and a huge Jimi Hendrix Fan. The Painting in a way is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and named after his third and final album called 'Electric Ladyland'. The painted guitar on the lady's back resembles the iconic 1965 Fender Stratocaster guitar, which was torched by the rock legend in London

If you rotate the painting you can see 'the left handed guitarist' Jimi in the surf and sea-waves strumming the guitar. Truth be told, the painting unveiled itself on the canvas...I did not have such a thick plot in mind :)
