I conquered many a lands
I drove fear in my enemies
Before garlanding them with death
I walked tall in many a dreams and legends

And evil shuddered while helpless clapped
On the utterance of my name
I bowed before no other
Though many worshiped my trail

As a cunning end to my glory
A pair of wandering eyes I met
I fell harder than my empire’s downfall
Bruised on bent knees, I bowed
Before the love I could never get
